Occupational Therapy


​Brefeld Physical Therapy offers comprehensive occupational therapy services for adults and pediatrics. Occupational therapists work towards helping their clients achieve optimum function during their daily Activities. This includes the habits and routines that a client completes on a daily basis. A person may benefit from occupational therapy services if he or she is having difficulty completing or participating in any aspect of daily life.

Services are provided in the home for Early Intervention (birth to age 3) and for medically fragile children and newborn babies. All other services are provided in the clinic setting. Please refer to clinic contact information to schedule an occupational therapy evaluation.

Brefeld Physical Therapy currently employs two registered occupational therapists and one occupational therapy assistant.  Brefeld Physical Therapy gladly accepts level I and level II OT/OTA fieldwork students.

Occupational therapists can be of assistance if your child is experiencing any of the following:


  • Sensory processing & behavioral concerns
  • Oral motor/feeding difficulty
  • Developmental delay
  • Difficulty completing activities of daily living (toileting, brushing teeth, feeding, hand washing, dressing, etc.)
  • Fine motor concerns
  • Handwriting difficult
